Golden Plum Galette
This Golden Galette features our fresh golden plums in a quick, crispy pastry wrap! It’s a simple and easy way to highlight fresh fruit, such as peaches, nectarines, or fresh berries!

Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, stir flour and salt together.
  3. Cut cold butter into the flour mixture, just until combined.
  4. Sprinkle cold water over and gently stir until dough forms. Be careful not to overwork the pastry or it will be tough.
  5. On parchment paper, roll out the dough into a large circle, approximately 12 inches in diameter.
  6. Sprinkle with some cornmeal or semolina to help keep the crust from getting too soggy during baking.
  7. Slide galette and parchment paper onto a cookie sheet.
  8. Let pastry chill for a few minutes while you prepare the fruit.
  9. Just mix the sugar and cornstarch together and sprinkle over the fruit. Stir to coat all the fruit.
  10. Pile the fruit mixture in the middle of the pastry and gently fold the edges in to make the galette. Perfection is not required!
  11. Brush the pastry with a little plant milk and sprinkle with a little coarse sugar.
  12. Bake for about 30 minutes or until bubbly and nicely browned.
  13. Let cool a little. Best served warm with a little coconut whipped cream or vegan ice cream! Enjoy!
